FLOORS

TILE OUT.
SLAB CLEAR.

Floor removal is the messiest phase of most renovations. It is also the phase that decides how the next installer starts. We run it with dust control, weight planning and a clear finish condition.

MATERIALS WE REMOVE.

  • 01PORCELAIN AND CERAMIC TILE
  • 02NATURAL STONE AND MARBLE
  • 03HARDWOOD AND ENGINEERED WOOD
  • 04LVP, LVT AND LAMINATE
  • 05CARPET AND PAD
  • 06SPECIFIED THINSET AND ADHESIVE

WHAT ACTUALLY MATTERS ON A FLOOR JOB.

01

DUST CONTROL

Vacuum-assisted equipment, containment at openings and negative pressure where the job calls for it. Occupied homes and occupied buildings do not tolerate an open dust job.

02

WEIGHT AND HAUL

Tile and thinset are heavy. Load capacity, elevator limits and legal trailer weight get planned before the first square foot comes up, not after the pile grows.

03

FINISH CONDITION

We define the slab condition in writing. Thinset removal, adhesive removal and any grinding are stated in the scope so the installer knows what they are getting.

WHERE FLOOR PREP STOPS.

Removal and specified thinset or adhesive removal are demolition scope. Floor leveling, patching, self-leveling compound, moisture testing and substrate repair are separate construction work and are not included unless written into the scope.
